I know I haven't been on in a while, I have been very busy for the last month. For a couple of weeks we were spring cleaning. We re-modeled the den and my brother and sister-in-law came to visit from NYC for a week. It helps to have company come because it makes you get things done. We had a very good time together with our company and my sister, Kerry who lives a short ways from me. We crafted, she's heavy into paper and card making, so we did that, (after a visit to Joanne's). A lot of laughing got done and not a whole lot of card making although I made 3 Easter cards. We had several shopping days with sister and niece and of course lunch. I love Marshall's and Target. I found a lot of stuff there. While they were here, my brother had his 64th birthday. Of course we had a party and fun was had by all. My brother acts like a kid anyway, believe it or not, even at 64. As for the re-model, we had the room painted, carpeted and threw out all the furniture in there. Some was recycled to my son. Oh, and by the way, in the middle of all this, my sewing machine light bulb went out and my machine wouldn't work, and I had to order the bulb on-line. Joanne's didn't make it.....Said it was too old. Do people throw out their sewing machines every few years!!!!! I doubt it.... So I have some before and after pictures of the re-model which I will show you today. It was a huge transformation. I am embarrassed at how it looked before, ( it is not indicative of how the rest of my house looks). I just didn't know where to start in the den, and it's my DH so if I moved anything, he would be lost. We still have some pictures to put up, so it's kinda bare. He wants to put up some big framed posters of Norman Rockwell. I got a 1/2 of a shelf for my "girl" books. He informed me I would have to share the shelf with some "boy" books. I do have books everywhere else in the house so it was nice of him to share his book shelf. I will start sewing now that I have my light bulb...Enjoy these pictures....

Stace, I missed this post!!! The room looks great...love, love, love the office furniture. What ya been doing?
I know what you mean about sewing machines. I had to special order a foot pedal for the machine that was my mother'in-law's and it is newer than mine. Sheesh! Not only that, it cost over $90 too! Catching up on your blog again.
